The ever-popular (and totally FREE) Film Fest in the City event is returning to St. Andrew Square Garden this June, with another packed weekend of outdoor cinema produced by Unique Events on behalf of our clients Edinburgh International Film Festival and Essential Edinburgh.
A fantastic line-up of free screenings running from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 June 2019, will once again welcome over 10,000 visitors to enjoy a mix of old favourites and cinematic blockbusters.
This year, Edinburgh Live are sponsoring the event, as part of an on-going commitment to bring you the best in Edinburgh, and will give audiences the chance to catch some of the best releases both new and old, including the Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody, Mary Poppins Returns – starring Emily Blunt as the iconic magical nanny – and the unforgettable cinematic extravaganza The Greatest Showman, back by popular demand.
It isn’t just new releases, either. Cult movies like When Harry Met Sally, Groundhog Day and The Iron Giant will be shown too, along with family favourites like Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. More movie titles will be released closer to the time.
Audiences will be able to enjoy a range of premium refreshments from a host of special pop-up bars over the weekend, including local brands Edinburgh Gin, Innis & Gunn and Poco Prosecco.
Once again, all of this year’s screenings will be free with no ticket required, just turn up and join in the fun.
