Edinburgh’s largest outdoor cinema event ‘Film Fest in the City’ returned to St Andrew Square last weekend with another packed 3-days of FREE outdoor cinema produced by Unique Events on behalf of our clients Edinburgh International Film Festival and Essential Edinburgh.

The fantastic line-up of free screenings ran from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 June 2019 and welcomed over 15,000 visitors to enjoy a mix of old favourites and cinematic blockbusters in the picturesque garden.

This year, Edinburgh Live sponsored the event, as part of an on-going commitment to bring you the best in Edinburgh, giving audiences the chance to catch some of the best releases both new and old, including 1,800 capacity screenings of the Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody and cinematic extravaganza The Greatest Showman, back by popular demand, along with packed screenings of Mary Poppins Returns, Mamma Mia & Mamma Mia 2 plus many more.

Audiences also enjoyed a range of premium refreshments from a host of special pop-up bars over the weekend, including local brands Edinburgh Gin, Innis & Gunn and Poco Prosecco.
